IPPA Evidence in Action

The first IPPA Evidence in Action Conference took place over March 18th and 19th of 2021 (during the Coronavirus pandemic), in a virtual format. Thank you to the hundreds of delegates from around the world who attended IPPA’s first ever conference of this type, celebrating the practice of Positive Psychology.

With hundreds of attendees from dozens of countries, and more than thirty languages spoken (collectively) by all of those in attendance, the event was a huge success. Feedback in surveys and email outreach from attendees at the event included terms like, “inspiring” and “outstanding.”

It was a great event which took place over a 24-hour period and it included information, collaboration, learning, and networking, many new connections, plus a ton of laughs, a lot of fun, and more!

There were speakers and presenters from India, Mexico, Australia, United Kingdom, Finland, Hong Kong, Denmark, Austria, South Africa, Canada, Romania, South Korea, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, Japan, and the United States — more than 60 speakers and presenters in total (over 24 hours). We had an around the clock schedule that brought the benefit and impact of positive psychology to attendees all around the world, across many time zones.

The Board of Directors for the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) are currently reviewing plans to bring back the IPPA Evidence in Action Conference in future years, and in various formats. Stay tuned for more.
