Board of Directors – Treasurer Position Open for Nominees!

IPPA’s Board of Directors is seeking a Treasurer to assist with the oversight and presentation of the organizations’ finances to include assistance and review of quarterly financial statements, annual finance committee report, creation and submission of the annual budget to the Board, and other duties as they arise.  In this volunteer position, the Treasurer may advise the Board on financial strategy, potential opportunities for risk, as well as ensure budget alignment within mission and program delivery.

This essential role typically requires an anticipated monthly outlay of 2+ hours to successfully fulfill the Treasurer duties, though this may increase during quarterly closings and annual Q4 budget prep cycles. In addition, attendance at bi-monthly virtual BOD meetings is required, and when possible, in-person attendance at the IPPA Annual BOD Meeting, typically held in July at an international location (consideration for travel funding may be available).

The individual we seek should be knowledgeable of current US tax code as it applies to US non-profit organizations, 990 preparation and reporting literacy, and strong financial skills for reporting and budgeting. Soft skills would include attention to detail, strong communications, integrity and ethics. Knowledge of the science of positive psychology is a must, and a CPA is strongly preferred.

All Board Members are expected to uphold strong governance practices consistent with US nonprofit standards and to act in alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and ethical commitments. This includes exercising sound judgment, maintaining transparency, and supporting a culture of integrity and accountability across all Board activities. Interested parties should complete the 2025 Nomination Form on or before December 31, 2025. Applicants will be notified in February, 2026 as to the status of their application.
