What Is An IPPA Circle?
IPPA Circles are dynamic, member-led communities of practice that bring together professionals and scholars with shared interests in emerging or cross-cutting areas of positive psychology. Unlike formal Divisions, Circles offer flexible spaces for deep dialogue, collaboration, and experimentation beyond traditional research-practice boundaries. If IPPA was a city, Circles would be the coffee shops, driving informal, member-led conversations.
We’re always looking for ways to support meaningful connections—especially around niche interests, bold ideas, or regional needs. That’s where IPPA Circles come in.

IPPA Circle Protocols:
- Topics and content of Circles are subject to IPPA approval.
- Dates and times subject to IPPA approval based on availability.
- All Circles begin as single session events hosted on the IPPA Zoom platform. Future events can be managed by you as the creator as IPPA-based communities of practices through our Engage platform and additional usage of the Zoom platform can be requested.
- Circles are considered a member benefit and are therefore open exclusively to IPPA membership as a free event.
- You will be responsible to host and manage your own meeting on Zoom; a temporary alternative host option will be provided to you for the event so that you can self-manage. The event must be recorded even if it’s not planned on being distributed for full transparency.
- Communications with members can be conducted through Engage post-meeting by providing an open invitation to join in a conversation.
- We ask you to provide a promotional graphic for the Circle, with provided IPPA branding, and we will provide the template for you to use in Canva, or you can request assistance with graphic creation.
- We are happy to use provide you with promotions of your Circle in the MNR, and would ask that you please post your event on IPPA Engage in the Member Share Repository.
- IPPA’s logo and branding is for the exclusive use of promotional material relating directly to the Circle being presented.
