Who can join IPPA?
Anyone with an interest in the science and practice of positive psychology, including academics, practitioners, educators, clinicians, coaches, HR professionals, and students, is welcome to join.
Can I join more than one Division?
Yes. Many members participate across multiple Divisions to broaden their network and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects.
Where do I manage my membership?
You can update your profile, manage Divisions, and access member resources via the IPPA Engage platform after joining.
How do renewals work?
Memberships renew annually (or every two years for the discounted 2‑year option). You’ll receive reminders before your renewal date with an easy link to renew online.
General IPPA Membership Policies and Guidelines
Anniversary Memberships
All IPPA memberships run for a period of either one (1) or two (2) calendar years, depending on the membership type. All IPPA memberships begin on the date of purchase and subsequent renewals will extend membership for one or two calendar years from the anniversary date of your first membership purchase.
Developing Country Discount
Residents of developing countries are eligible for a 50% discount on any of the IPPA membership categories. To qualify, individuals must have a primary residence address within a country recognized as “Developing” by The UN. The countries identified as developing by region on that UN page are eligible for the discount. If your country is a UN documented developing country and not on this list, please contact us with that documentation.
To receive the discount, please select the membership of your choice and enter the discount code DC-DEV COUNTRY (case-sensitive) when prompted during the checkout process.
Difficulty Covering Membership Costs?
We understand unexpected expenses and hardships can arise, causing difficulty in maintaining your membership. If you’re experiencing this situation, we welcome you to use the Pay What You Can membership option, which is available to both Professional and Student members for a one year IPPA membership. Starting at a base price of $10 USD, we want to help ensure that cost is not a barrier to participating with IPPA. Code of Conduct
Members are expected to adhere to IPPA’s Code of Conduct, in addition to respective terms of use of certain of IPPA’s products, programs, events, and services, whether provided by IPPA or through any permitted third party providers and vendors.
