IPPA is proud to announce its new book series, “Cornerstones in Positive Psychology.” Partnering with the prestigious and august Oxford University Press, the series will include books foundational to the field of positive psychology.
The field of positive psychology is burgeoning throughout the world, but no generally-accepted cornerstone publications have been produced for this large and growing group of scholars, practitioners, and institutions. Entities ranging from national governments to individual instructors have expressed the need for a standard set of resources that capture the key empirical, theoretical, and applicable findings associated with positive psychology.
In partnership with Oxford University Press, the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) is producing a series of books written by the most well-known positive psychologists in the world focusing on their major contributions to their specific area of expertise. Each monograph summarizes what we know about the topic as well as the major contributions of the author. Therefore, the book series serves as a “cornerstone” for the field of positive psychology.
The intent of each book in the series is to produce monographs that capture the essence of the field. Books are authored by individuals generally considered to be among the world’s experts in a particular aspect of positive psychology. Hence, these volumes will serve as a corpus of the need-to-know information about various aspects of positive psychology and serve as the “go-to” source by the go-to author in the field. This first volume in the series, produced by IPPA President, Roy Baumeister, exemplifies these high aspirations.
As a member of IPPA, you have access to an exclusive 40% discount on these and future books in the series.
